PhD in Software-Defined Internet Technologies and Economics (Network Economics Group)
The NetEcon (Network Economics) group led by Dr. Sergey Gorinsky studies economics of networked systems and its interplay with technology and security. Based on measurements, data analysis, and modeling, the group explores the roles and interactions of various entities in the Internet ecosystem. We also develop innovative business models for cost reduction, revenue increase, and social utility maximization.
The NetEcon group invites applications for a position in SDN (Software-Defined Networking) approaches to the Internet. The work will involve both technologic and economic aspects of SDN on the inder-domain level.
- Strong background in mathematics;
- High proficiency in programming;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
The selected student will be supervised by Dr. Sergey Gorinsky.
