Brief Resume

Tuan-Tu Pham received Diploma and Higher Diploma in Computer Studies from Hanoi University of Technology – Singapore Genetic Computer School Joint Training Program, Hanoi, Vietnam, in 2003 and 2005, respectively. He also received a Masters Degree in Computer Science from IT Convergence Campus, Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST-ICC), Daejeon, Korea, in 2009.

During his studies at KAIST-ICC, he worked at the Network Architecture Laboratory, from 2006 to 2008, under Prof. Myungchul Kim’s supervision. His MSc thesis focused on Route Discovery in MANETs, and presents a scheme called “An Encounter-based Selective Forwarding Scheme for Route Discovery in MANETs”. The idea behind this scheme is to replace the single network-wide search of current proposals with a succession of smaller searches resulting in a cheaper route discovery.

Before joining IMDEA Networks and University Carlos III of Madrid , he was part of the research staff at the Research and Development Dept. of Vietnam Korea Exchange LTD., (Hanoi, Vietnam), a joint venture company between Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group and LG-Nortel, from 2005 to 2006. He also worked as a Consultant at the Project and Business Planning Dept. of the same company in 2009. There he has been involved in research and development of the Interactive Voice Response System (IVR), and in the design and management Service Delivery Platform project.

His native language is Vietnamese, but he also speaks English and is learning Spanish.
